SELF-SUFFICIENT

You know when you have a hard time in your life and you are so much into getting the company that it's slight absence changes you to being alone so that you no more crave for it; it actually now feels like choosing the darkness because the cravings of the light cannot be fulfilled anymore, or at least perhaps it's what you think. But the fact is it's not like that; merely the absence of the darkness doesn’t mean that the light is gone forever. But yes, the absence of it for so long does make it feel this and especially when the darkness isn’t hindering your vision and your sight then you are no longer wanting the light, rather you are actually trying to adapt in its absence because the significance of the light likes only in its allowing the clear vision but since its purpose is served in the darkness as well you despite your immense craving which probably you’ll never surpass you still start getting in tuned up with the darkness that despite the fact that you still want the light in your life the darkness does take a toll over you and you are very easily lured into it and thus you start detesting the light and the worst part is that even the slightest absence of the light or the worst part that despite the presence of the light you are so very blindfolded that you can't even see the light. This is the most troubling part I think, that you even start being comfortable with that too!
Despite being the feeble target which gets lured into the thing he shouldn’t you are although knowing the significance of the light in your life and you are always craving for it but the proper reason for the craving perhaps is your being so very easily stimulated by the darkness and it apart from giving you the vision to see the things through it, it also makes you so much into craving for the light for forever that you actually begin being comfortable in it and try adapting to it; besides the one thing no one notices is, while you see through the eyes of the darkness you can no longer be sure of whatever is it that you are seeing is from the eyes of the darkness and is highly likely to be false as it's not directly that you are looking at the things but rather through something else that might alter the real view and even change it for itself so as to show you what it wants and keep you within itself as long as possible.
So it's better not to crave for the light so long that the darkness seems to be a better option even in the slightest absence of the light. And if at all we try to view things directly instead of through the darkness it’d be very easy to understand that the light we are looking or rather craving for, outside and getting hampered in its slightest absence, isn’t at all something that needs to be looked or quested for; it's something that’s already been our part; a part of our own existence; it has always been within us, in the same way as togetherness has always been our part. We many a times crave for some company and get very easily dissatisfied when we’ve the company of someone we had sometimes ago, no more. What we fail to realise is, as long as we are with ourselves there ain’t any need for anyone else to fill that emptiness of loneliness because the place hasn’t and isn’t vacant at all. The Light! Has already been within us and is already within us and is never ever away from us. And remember, every time you feel it's absence look within yourself and you’ll find the thing you’ve been craving for, does proves that you are so in-tuned with it that you can't be without it and since you can't be without it, it has already become your counterpart that can't get separated from you. (Although this doesn’t apply to those who are entirely into the darkness, cherish and enjoy it and are in need of the light no more).
Hence there isn’t anything to look or searched outside, everything is already present inside; the thing is we just need to shift our focus from outside, i.e. the outside sources and the outside things, toward our own-self. All the light we wanted and we ever wanted, looked and quested for, whose absence took us into the darkness, has always been within us already. The problem merely was that we were looking for it outside, inside others to guide and enlighten us and to show us the path towards it. But do you really need to go in quest for something and crave for something that’s already within you? Do we really need to keep fumbling into darkness and pain when we have the remedy inside of us? Do We Have To? I Don't Think We Do… so the next time you want the light, look inside… All you want is already within you. All you need to do is look; Look inside ‘You’; Look inside Yourself. Just realise, that you ‘are’  “Self-Sufficient”.

  1. Harsh Harsh Harsh Harsh Harsh...
The novel GREAT EXPECTATIONS by CHARLES DICKENS was kinda special. It was special because the first paragraph of the book had only one sentence. The literature courses have this book in their curriculum.

But he was famous and he could manage to get away with it. For a blog post of this length, a string of short sentences is preferable.

  2. You still need "the quest". If not outside then inside. And it's harder to find inside.

    1. Maybe, but not really hard to find it inside. This one's the biproduct of the inside one only.
