The Daylight 'Spirit'
THE incidence I'm going to narrate here at first concerns the 'Unearthly Spirit' and not the Fervor and corresponds to a city called ADELAIDE of Australia. This instance as it is said, occurred an uncertain time ago in a small part of the city. At one outer corner of the city there once was a house and precisely a particular room of that particular house which people believed to be haunted; not because they witnessed any ghost or spirit nor even the objects of the room flying and moving around in air as is generally taken for the Gothic sign. But something strange that surpassed in that room and with the people choosing to reside in it which made them believe arduous presence and functioning of some 'Spirit or Soul'.
The house was situated in a posh but quiet solitary part of the city. The room was stationed at one corner of the house. It was a broad day-light time of afternoon and the sunlight could enter from even the slightest crack or hole of the house brightening every possible corner of it. But despite of this, that particular room of the house, constructed of medium size with a door and no window situated at the house's extreme corner was dark as even the night of the no-moon day couldn't be and as silent as if vacuumed. The room had a bed, a study table, a rack engraved within the wall and a small mirror hung on the wall with small empty space on one side. The house was very old but still well maintained with very few cracks and holes. Now the catchy thing of the room was that it had a small but long hole from the inside to the outside of the wall of the room through which anything could be passed. But despite of this even in such a sunny afternoon not even a single ray of the sunlight could enter inside. Even the cracked hole couldn't be seen until the minute observation. Another remarkable feature was that, through that long whole if any light was passed it could enter inside the room or could be seen outside if flashed from within; but not the sunlight. All the scientific theories, experiments and tests (as much possible at that time) were incapable to draw out any rational explanation of it. Although the priests too couldn't work out any of the exorcism or ghost, yet the house and precisely the room was declared to be haunted.
Although out of the four families that lived within, nothing haunted could be witnessed by them except for the one common fact. Whosoever resided in that room slowly and gradually started to become seclude and isolated. Despite of their any sort of social background, either amiably social or quiet reserved, they all finally became entirely isolated from their friends, acquaintances and all the known ones; just they were conversant but yet transformed.
There grew many attempted speculations to explain it. Most suitable of which was, there lived a secluded person who despised sunlight and now after his death all those who live within are undergoing the same; but these words neither had any evidence to back them up then, nor they've now. Moreover the house at later stage was dismantled and remade into modern fashion. That room too was reconstructed with large number of windows to ensure proper light, but as expected the plan failed as the glasses used for windows began breaking down without anyone's notice which occurred a considerate number of times. Thus they used a glass door on one side but it too got melted unexpectedly. Either of scorching sunlight or of the 'spirit', no one knows. Disappointed, they made the room covered back again, which remained thus for a very long period of time until an industry was setup in that area in its stead.
Thus the speculations of any 'spirit' perhaps came to an end entirely or maybe was started to be ignored for the time being until, workers began noticing that one of the wall of the factory was too found to be holding a crevice which despite of all efforts couldn't be covered. Allowing full visibility of the outside and Still Abstaining Any Ray of Sunlight...
